Our Ayurvedic tea blend balances excess Vata by using grounding, calming herbs. Ashwagandha, a traditional Ayurvedic adaptogenic root, combines with the moisturizing properties of Shatavari, Licorice and Cinnamon to rehydrate, rejuvenate and nourish the body deep within.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha root is one of the most important Ayurvedic herbs and has been used for over 3,000 years to reduce stress, increase energy, and improve focus. In Sanskrit, its name means "smell of the horse," which refers to its unique smell and ability to increase strength. It is classified as an adaptogen, meaning it helps the body and mind deal with stress and anxiety and even lowers cortisol levels. Many of its profound health benefits are due to its high concentration of withanolides, which have been shown to fight inflammation and tumor growth. This wonder root has even been shown to fight cancer cells and inhibit the growth of new cancer cells. Ashwagandha is also packed with antioxidants, allowing it to successfully fight free radical damage.

Shatavari

Shatavari is possibly the "queen of Ayurvedic herbs" and the cooling, feminine counterpart to Ashwagandha. Shatavari literally means "a hundred roots," but it can also be translated as "the woman with a hundred husbands." Kind of a crazy concept, but there's a reason for it. Shatavari has special benefits for the female reproductive system, strengthening it to such an extent that, ideally, you could have a hundred husbands if you wanted to! It's an adaptogen, meaning it rejuvenates the body and mind and restores balance to both the nervous and immune systems. Shatavari has anti-inflammatory effects thanks to its cooling properties.

liquorice

Licorice calms the mind and nourishes the spirit and is considered a sattvic or harmonious herb in Ayurveda. This sweet-tasting root provides strength and moisture to the mucous membranes of the body, providing hydration from the inside out. According to Dr. Frawley, licorice also nourishes the brain, increasing cerebrospinal and cranial fluid and acting as an effective expectorant. Finally, this potent root improves voice, eyesight, hair and complexion.

linseed

Flaxseed is one of the oldest fiber plants and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Flaxseed is a rich source of healthy fat, antioxidants, protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals and omega-3 fatty acids. We use flaxseed in our blended tea because of its soothing properties that help the body retain moisture and absorb nutrients.

All ingredients come from controlled organic cultivation! Our tea blend is caffeine-free and enriched with Ayurvedic healing mantra. Tested by family and friends. Handmade with love in small batches.
